I had planned for this week to be an OP-1 track, but then I was on the train one day and this op-z track happened. The driving melody and the percussion happened on the train, and then over the course of the week the lead "vocals" slowly came together.

Haha, I dig the percussive part. Almost old school casio but it gels really nicely with the main beat. The lead melody sort of reminds me of The Cure for some reason.
I also had a great idea you could experiment with for future tracks using the OP-1. Possibly. Email me if I don't email you soon.
Will be in touch! And thanks for the comments. The percussive part was fun to play around with. It's a little loud in the mix, but I still quite like it.

ありがとうおざいます!
Really nice and peaceful. Love it.
Those melodic layers are just perfect On my 3rd listen right now hehe
This is really great, do you find there is much overlapping functionality between the OP1 and the OPZ?
When that percussion track sets in, the relaxing mood is perfection.

Thanks. It means a lot to me!

By overlapping functionality do you mean similarities with how they work, or how they play with each other? In terms of how they work, all of the sound manipulation happens in a similar way (4 dials/knobs to play with different parameters), so it's fairly easy to go from one to the other (without a screen though, the op-z takes quite a bit of time to get used to if you aren't using the app.) That said, the op-z feels a touch more limited; you can record multiple patterns to a single track on the op-1, but the op-z is locked to whatever is in each channel. I don't know if that answered your question, but let me know if there was anything in particular you wanted to know!

I'm so glad you like it. I'm trying a lot to make my percussion tracks more interesting this year.
A tranquil track. I love the sound of the clap. Where did you find it/How did you make it?

It's actually just one of the stock percussive sounds on the OP-Z. The selection of drum sounds is surprisingly varied and a lot of fun.
