Doin' The Dishes

This time I'm mostly struggling with finding time for actually working on the song. It's not much more than a sketch.

The idea was to take one sample (a Zoom H1 recording of my dishwasher) and build a track out of it. Both the bass and the strings are done with Robert Henke's brilliant Granulator II, drums and fx are just filtered and cut up versions of the original sample.

I actually like the beat a lot and think that this has potential to become something more substantial than this sketch. We'll see. My WeeklyBeats blues is far from being over, but at least this week it wasn't as painful to work on the track, I just couldn't find the time.

Really engaging, even if you didn't spend the time you wanted to on it.  Great beat, indeed.
