I wanted to try and make a different type of beat, more of a house thing, it's totally not my genre and I usually after laying down the first idea and the 8 bar loop I never feel comfortable expanding to a full track but in the spirit of the exercise of weekly beats I forced myself to finish it and I'm quite happy with it.
The sound is not totally there, I am used to mixing sort of thick, overcompressed hip hop beats and it's not easy to go against my tendencies, I'll keep at it and try to refine it further.

Well that  sounded absolutely amazing. And that's that. Nicely done !

Bass has me locked in out of the chute. They ethereal keys are keeping me locked. The (I think) sampled distorted element that comes in at 29secs is a bit abrasive/harsh. It will sit better with some edge taken off. Maybe play around with some delays on it as the track progresses?

This is pretty fun and groovy for a track outside of your comfort zone. Thanks for sharing!

Not sure what you were aiming for, but the sounds totally there for me. Plenty to be happy with

Nice filtered sounds, lots of fun and very groovy

I don't know anything about house and this sounds cool! well done!

I love the sound design on this. Lots of air, and beautiful mix.

really nice track, so much texture and subtle details and the mix is thickk

Great to hear your style on a different genre! So well done

Kudos for getting out ot your confort zone and giving us this fantastic groove.

I feel you when it comes to struggling with house mixes. What gives life in a sluggish and bass-riden hip hop track sometimes goes again the quick pace of a house groove... though I sincerely think you made a fantastic job here smile

Please, do this again sometime in the future !!!

I will do more, I always struggled with it but I'm kinda enjoying right now and you're really spot on at least for me I like the very smushed compressed sound of hip hop and when the grooves get faster you have to keep it a lot cleaner and save the transients much more!
