Datamongers

By gpsychosis on May 27, 2018 11:53 pm

Nestled securely away from urban centres live Terrhans tasked with raising the children of the Sai. To this end, their homes are outfitted with antennae that scour the multiverse for novel information, and feed it back toward their domiciles, which adapt to the information tides by morphing and retexturing themselves. Those appointed to these households, subject to the latest total aggregate visions, cull the resulting protrusions from their domiciles and bring them to local marketplaces where Terrhan folk enthusiastically vie for their purchase.\\\\\\

///A great deal of datacruft is pulverized, sold in bulk, and used to increase the fidelity of Terrhan wireless technology (the powdered material makes excellent fertilizer for their networks' roots). However, crystalline, iridescent, and fractal forms are auctioned to the highest bidder -- often a salvage enthusiast or explorer with a collection that resonates together to form a lossy image of Sai educational programming. Every so often a datamonger receives a live organism in a pile of carelessly-collected product. Though it is forbidden, their presence can often be determined by the resilience of a particular Terrhan databiome, where they are covertly allowed to reside in symbiosis.

What at first sounded hella weird and dissonant morphed into a cohesive tune, this is pretty damn cool

You're definitely painting a picture here.

Glad you found it! I didn't make as thorough of an effort this week in completing the musical structure, but it's affirming to hear that it's groovable!

Ha! Ha! ...Yes! I intend to get better at the literal part, even.
