Arcology Code 28

By gpsychosis on July 15, 2018 11:56 pm

Once all the planets were settled, a salvo of experimental space colonies were launched in the Sol system with state-of-the-art etherponic arrays. The eusocial arrangement of homo sapiens sapiens living alongside their food source of semifungal cultures required complete radio silence to operate. For the arcology pilot program, only certain emergencies permitted operators to transmit and receive messages.\\\\\\

///In the case of Arcology Ereb-6, staffed by hopefuls from the dark fringes of the system, Code 26 was invoked, which indicates complete dereliction by its occupants to preserve a scientifically-significant anomaly: the overtaking of the entire colony by its etherponics. Ereb-6 was populated by a high concentration of ether adepts, and had been sanctioned to further develop etherponics for the rest of the system. It appears that Ereb-6 has managed to cross-pollinate its cultures with extradimensional lifeforms, judging from the transmissions that have been amplified and adjusted by the station's overgrowth. Unfortunately, no contact with any sapiens sapiens has been made, despite the dereliction code.
