Open Your Palms

By Glaze on February 10, 2018 6:43 am

Open your palms
There lies the seed of eternity
See its roots spreading?
Tendrils of forever
Vining our hearts
Take my hand in yours
Drawing our limbs together
Marrying our roots
Planting trees of life
With each step taken
We blossom love
Seed and sower,
Together
Celestial guardians,
Light our way
Clouds praising with rain
Gentle droplets collect to seas
Birthing tidals of heart waves
Can you hear the change flowing?
Washing our souls
Watering our everblooms
Ever releasing light-spores
Glowing our world
Evergreen

EDIT:
Forgot to credit my wonderful girlfriend who did the spoken-word and wrote the poem: Frost

wonderful atmosphere, the vocals remind me a bit of "PPP" by Beach House.

Great progression in the music. The words are spoken so don't progress much, but still add a nice layer to it.

Thanks! smile I don't hear any resemblance at all haha, it's weird how that works sometimes

Your comment got me thinking.. I think you're referring to singing? But how I took it at first was that the vocals were gently spoken throughout the entire piece, what we could do next time is actually raise the vocals as the track progresses. ("raise", in the sense that it will be said with a bit more power)
Thanks for the comment smile

More in the way that spoken word, unlike singing, doesn't do pitch, so can't progress beyond what it is, although it'd be an interesting challenge to progress it anyway.

The intro piano theme has a really nice cinematic feel.  Like a movie reaching it's epic final scene.  The spoken word gives me imagery of a letter being read and a memory montage flashing  by smile  Nice work!
