Melody is all over the place this week. Might throw you off. smile

I did a weird thing for the first half of the song: Each section is 9 bars long instead of 8, but I rolled with it. Just seemed more interesting to me to have that extra bar that resolves the melody.

Had to master this one a bit quieter. I was fighting with pushing the limiter too hard at the last minute. 💀

Also, I discovered GSnap (free autotune plugin) at the last minute too. Saved my bacon with my crappy vocal samples lol.

Cool mashup between synthwave, citypop and maybe something else I can't quite put my finger on. Love the thick side-chaining and heavy chorus effect on the synths, really makes the groove pop. Honestly I didn't notice the 9 bar melody until I saw you mention it, feels pretty natural to me. Good stuff!

Thanks Dustsucker! Reading your thoughts here helped me see my own track in a different context. I had never heard of citypop before, but I totally get it now. smile That was really insightful and I appreciated it a lot.
