I was 3/4rds done this track when I realized the reason I'm having such a hard time mixing the bass right is because my MacBook's onboard soundcard completely destroys the fidelity of any bass. This isn't a new insight, I just forgot, and it's been 16 weeks since I last made a track on this machine.

Long story short: I'm not sure about the mix on this one. Did I screw it up?

Also, first track made up north in Ontario. Kicking off cottage season early this year... ! smile

ALSO: With like 30 minutes left, I was still trying to preview my mix on some speakers, and then jet skis start going by outside and I couldn't tell whether the bass was in tune or not. Damn you, jet skis!

Idyllic!  Not sure how much bass you intended, but I'm hearing a lot of mid and upper-mid activity. Strong BOC feel--looks like an inspirational place to be!

I really like it, I say just keep this mix. Great work.

I'm listening on speakers with no bass, so no problems until I give it a proper listen tomorrow. Sounds great though!

Bass is quite right... Check if you've got some messed combination of latency/buffer setting in Renoise. Mine sounds really great on the Macbook, but that program allows to set things in weird ways, it just asume that for some reason that's what you want. Anyway, if your internal soundcard is damaged, just use an external one and keep the machine smile

Nice BOC synths, as OneZero said, and the groove is sick.

Hope to visit Canada some day! That lake looks beautiful
