A loop which just turned into a song about soul searching.

Edited sample from apocalypse now.

electro bass, pads and detuned synths.

Nanoloop mobile file: https://github.com/gesceap/weeklybeats2 … /Jst18.nan

I love the detune synth sound, you inspire me to try this, but it's not good fitting my music, in ambient maybe. It's great on your bass to make a strange harmony, cool sound!

I love the feeling of this track, the drums with the detuned synths, bouncy, ominous and trippy.

The backing synth sounds kind of like a violin, an out of tune violin, i like that

I layered this synth in an interesting way, i think i will try it again. Also using octaves for the bass and synth makes it feel more alive

Those synths makes me uncomfortable. Love it.

awesome. nobody does the paranoid detuning vibe like you. I need to rewatch Apocalypse Now too.

by the way, I bought Novum for Bandcamp Friday and have been re-listening to Belikeus on repeat recently.

Exactly what I was hoping for

Superb electro track. No doubt about it.

It seems Los Angeles is the new Sheffield wink

Do you use any post production in your tracks. The mix is crystal clear and so well balanced... That snare simply slaps in my 8" monitors !!!

Almost always I don't do any post production except for basic eq, compression and maybe some reverb over the whole wav exported directly from nanoloop mobile.

This is not because I am a masochist but simply because I am lazy.

Also, serious question, which other electro artists are in LA?

The only name that comes to mind right now is The Egyptian Lover. Also that chick, Nite Jewel, maybe?

I just realized I didn't leave a comment, and the irony is: this has been on loop for like 3 days that week, and is rather frequently heard and is my 2nd contender (after MonitorServe) to explore and do something akin of a "remix" for -- turns out Gesceap doing electro is so good I forget to leave a comment for 2 weeks! heart

I really love the pad stringy sound on this song, it actually makes the electro sound have a more dynamic feeling, glad you like this one
