6 confront

By gesceap on July 7, 2022 6:22 pm

A confrontation with oneself, reactive stance.
A fight or a flight, a cowardice run, it's who I am.
Confront the defensive side upon the myth of creation and rest on the last day.
6 battles and one passing.

trying to figure out this description and it sounds almost like a self-referential description of the cycle of WeeklyBeats itself.

really interesting changes in sound design with the more vocal/flute pads and the really low sub bass. simultaneously sounds more uneasy like earlier work and very fresh.

Yes this description does feel like a reference to WB, maybe i wanted it to be subconsciously. It was unintentional, just a stream of consciousness of thoughts i had throughout the week.

Cool drum sounds on this! 0:32 is not usual to your music I think, a peaceful happy melody, it's so nice hearing smile

I love this so much, such an original mixture of eerie and unusual melodies with fantastic arrangement and complexity, the production is so good.. much love.

much too good, to hear it only once. have to download it quick. thanks for uploading

Yes, a 'peaceful' part, I don't compose much like this, but it felt right.

I this this song has more feeling, space to think. It feels like a good choice for a vocal arrangement. A way to express the complexity of the world.

Don't worry, I don't take the music down. It will be here. I also will upload the mp3s to github at the end of the year.

Looking forward to the next viral mix. Love the dirty bass on this one in the break-down and the glitch of the drums in this one.

It will be interesting to mix all of the songs this year. Still thinking about how to do it.

love those drums, that background bass weaving in and out of the drums is fire.

This beat is sick. And you have a way to make it sound organic, as if the drums were a living animal doing weird sounds. With the strange pads, this is like an alien soundscape, on a distant planet.

Drums are a mix of lofi SNES drum pack and funk break, with lots of looped bits

The looping points on the drum hits and the bass seemed to just "work" in making that organic feel

Perfect blend of glitchy beats, mysterious melodies and smooth low end bass.  IDM, 90’s warp records like tunes at their best.  Thank you.

great beat, and haunting chords and melody. Contemplative space.  I think emily's gif above works well for this.

It wasn't my intention but it's a nice compliment, i really do enjoy that era of music. I think the two drum parts work well calling back and forth. The theme is lacking imo

Yeah i was watching it and listening, a nice touch. I wish I could have worked more on the melody.

Drum programming on this is great, really like the noise-sustain-with-highlights 1:26-ish section before the more observable kick-snare pattern returns...

My $0.02, if YGAF (also okay if you DGAF):
