Wavedrum Mini percussion jam

By george bowles on September 1, 2012 8:50 am

So I have been wanting to upload a wavedrum mini only track for a while now, and here it is! recorded in the comfort of my living room, the trigger was attached to a sturdy cardboard box about the same size as the wavedrum's pad, so there are two different sounds happening at once, going through the wavedrum's speaker into the room. I recorded with a tascam portable stereo device. in my opinion, the wavedrum mini sounds best through it's own speaker... it sounds a little less natural when lined out through its headphone or 1/4" jacks. what I love about the thing is the responsiveness and quickness of the pad, and how good the trigger works in picking up drumming on objects. I was thinking about selling the thing, but it is just too much fun to get rid of.

also, this shows I don't just program weird beats, I also just make up weird beats all the time, drumming on tables and stuff! or synthesized tablas coming out of wavedrums now.

I've never come across the wavedrum mini... what a cool little unit!  Did you get it new?

yep, I ordered it from amazon.com for $230 new. I've always liked to drum on desks and tables and stuff and this thing works really well for that lol. I just wish it had more/better samples (some of the presets get redundant and some are too cheesy). but there's still a lot there, 99 different ones for each channel. there's even an fx thing you can run but I don't usually use it.

I should keen an eye out for this wavedrum mini, you make a good business man.

Didn't realise that it had the trigger too, looks like fun.

yeah the trigger is what really sets it apart. even the expensive full Wavedrum X or whatever it is called doesn't have the clip trigger (but it has editable presets so that is much better).
