i went overboard again, this time creating a 4 point piece of music and finishing the next Sitari album! i chose my favorite of the 4 parts which also happens to be the most lengthy but i think it turned out really cool. definitely influenced by the longform pieces on the new Autechre quintuple album! I'll try and get the album uploaded too and provide a link.

It has a nice minimalistic vibe, but is deceptively complex.  Lots of cool sounds going on.

Staggered and squelchy; yet completely coherent. Quite an accomplishment!

this is great to hear as in the past some of my Sitari stuff has been bogged down by trying to do too much i think. really good to hear that it has some minimalism but once you get past the surface it reveals its complexity, ultimately what i'd like to do going forward with this.

thanks so much Jim! this was created using live performance of the sequencing program and the VSTs which made my old computer very challenged and i think part of the appeal are the artifacts inherent in it.

the piece was actually even longer but i edited it down a bit to make sure that it feels more coherent... so i'm glad i'm improving on that smile

YO IS THIS AN OUTTAKE FROM THE ELSEQ????????????

Wow, these strings are totally wild.  That one repeat moment at around 35% was incredible.

Now around 60% done....still rockin.  Cool "sink drain" sound happening.

WHOA  drum set collapse at 75%.  Rockin beat at 85%!  This is something Autechre has never done - LET ME ENJOY A DRUM BEAT IN PEACE!

Incredible track man, just incredible.

Yeah! can you imagine what they could do if they blended that stuff in? they almost do at times, i can think of some of their earlier work and a track off of Untilted, as well as the album LP5 being a little more catchy beat-wise, but they are all about alienation and inhuman/artificiality. i love their stuff but i don't have to be QUITE that on the bleeding edge, i like to have some kind of payoff in this kind of music. thanks so much for listening and the kind comments, I'm glad you like it. new album should be out in the next week or two.

also, if anyone knows of any labels that would be interested in putting out this kinda stuff on vinyl i'd love to hear about any opportunities.

Ahh excellent man!
