This piece kicks off a series that will be released as an album under my own name. "sound art" if you will... or sound design is what I'm going for. this piece will be accompanied by another piece, either on the same album or an album of remixes, I'm not sure yet.

Anyway, the idea of the series is to record things with my tascam portable stereo recorder around the house in different rooms, and then create sound pieces out of them. Nothing new really, but this is my take on the idea of electroacoustic music. Which means, processed recorded sounds created by natural things.

This is fantastic. Is there much processing happening to the sounds or is it just the raw sound materials? Are you into John Cage and others of that nature?

the only processing is enhancing the sounds, bringing out the details through filters and eq. I like Cage, but mainly for his ideas. I am especially into randomness more than anything... also his interest in eastern mysticism. the other piece I mentioned would be taking these sounds and editing them down further into small samples, so I can do something like amon tobin did on 'foley room'. but obviously with much much cheaper equipment heh.

I like the minimal use of effects you did.  Fav bit was nearer the end with the percussive sound chops  smile

Yeah, wow. excellent art. Hauntingly beautiful. Excellent production.

This is interesting. Very interesting in deed.

i'm really glad you liked how it sounded big_smile
