Interruptions (weekly beats week 18)

By george bowles on May 3, 2026 6:32 am

first week i kind of procrastinated til the last day but it turned out really well, sort of trance meets idm...

the big ambient keyboard sounds from my hydrasynth going into my guitar pedalboard with all three delays going...

this sounds a bit like a series of ambient drone albums i've been working on but with a beat added. didn't have time to edit it down so it is presented in 160 kbps lo-fi glory.

pretty slick drone. I might be influenced by the previous track but this intro was nice to whistle over. at least until about 2min when rhythms were too unpredictable to sing along. then it became more psychedelic in the vein of your other tracks this year. hydrasynth goes hard on this kinda vibe.

how did u do the drums? also live I presume? sounds like it could be done by some drum machine emulator app on ipad ... based on my previous (failed) experiments ...

Nice ambienty track. Like the clockwork sounds.

drum machine was some kind of vst instrument with the autolooper in Reaper carrying some of the weight, i didn't have much time so the keyboard was triggering this arpeggiated drum part for sections, it's all a bit fuzzy now! definitely a rush job last week

thanks so much! yeah i have been wanting to come back and listen to this again, it was fun

This track flows nicely into the different sections and the old school drum tone works well.  The track hints at chaos but holds restraint.  Nice one. \m/
