index of transcendent waves

another dice game result, ended in bass guitar, drum machine from my donner circle looper, and my turntable as sound sources. i used one bass guitar channel with the stereo line 6 pod go, and another with my zoom multifx b1on with a biyang x-drive before it as a bit of a preamp pedal.

tribute to some of the weirder/heavier melvins songs over the years and the band Asva as inspirations

I love the dark, lo-fi, vintage sound of this. Very 80s/early 90s sounding. Like it's been captured live with a portable tape recorder in small venue with horrible sound system played way too loud. Like most clubs used to have back in those days. Cool stuff!

Really cool stuff. Love the short sporadic changes in the drum pattern. The dice game idea sounds like a really fun way to come up with new ideas! Enjoyed this, thank you!

ha that's an interesting perception! I think the lofi quality comes from the vinyl and also from some of the zoom settings which effected both the bass and the drum machine. One of which was a bit crush setting! Also some vintage synth effects on the bass on one track. Loved hearing your description lol..

ha yeah I had a blast "playing" the drum machine to the bass parts which were added first!

Thanks for listening fellow weekly beaters! Did I just say that 🤣

I love this muddy sound - it's urgent and filthy and thick. The organ sounds like it's coming for my children.
