doubled comebacker

By george bowles on October 20, 2024 4:40 am

last week i had thought i uploaded my track but i forgot to hit the submit button so it was my first missed week at week 41.

this week i started and finished one track, and then made another. i took the first track and (hopefully) deftly positioned it over the second new track, and made a best of both worlds track here. sounds good to me anyway.

week 41 i ended up not being too disappointed about not uploading, even though I almost did and meant to. i went back and remixed it and it sounds better but still not one of my best tracks this year. it wasn't meant to be.

anyways, i hope you enjoy the doubled up awesomeness of week 42 lol. thanks for listening.

I really like the initial krautrockish influence here. This might come from the use of the oldschool drummachine and the organ. There is a good portion of chaos and apocalyptic noises too, as the song evolves. Good to have you back.

thanks for listening:) yeah I almost dropped out after missing that week by just being a bit lackadaisical, but I know there's no judgments here and many do not make the full year for various reasons. And I know that I actually had that track done a day early so I'ma count it as a technicality but not official.

Anyways, yeah this track is two ideas coming at once and I think I got it mixed in such a way that you can't tell that so much. It does make it more layered with a lot of going on but I think it kind of works.

Hard disagree. You always go for rather experimental soundscapes, this one is no exception. But it's got a very well-tuned ratio of fresh to musical, if you catch my drift. There's something timeless about it that I dig. Glad you uploaded it!

Ah, I'm pretty happy with this week, but missed week 41. And was musing that it wasn't one of my better tracks.

Anyways thank you so much, I really enjoyed how you perceived this and the way you described it! That's my style, I want thing s to be on the verge of music and sound design, not noise but music that incorporates noise elements even more than say, electro industrial music and hip-hop. But more abstract than those two genres for sure, no movie samples or anything in the music and obviously instrumental (usually).

Apologies for any confusion I don't get to talk about my music much and I get hyped up about it lol.

Digging this shifting time and delay. Great atmosphere as always!
