Abnormalist Attitude

this week's track features a box harp, a rather bizarre fuzz pedal, a random cassette tape, and my guitar pedalboard

Is this a cover song?  Haha!  I enjoy the staticy ambient sounds right away, man you are a monster at distorted sludge, in-between stations static. The shift when the drums kick in has me picturing a twisted carny horror show. Real weird and awesome!

yeah the heavier fuzzed out stuff is actually a cassette tape going through a wicked fuzz pedal!

This one's too challenging for my basic ass ears big_smile

a ha that's coooool:) I'm glad you're giving it a chance!

super awesome, really like how it emerges from the black lagoon only to dive back into the fuzz

thank youuu I appreciate that! It's definitely a bit different from what I've been doing so far. My pedalboard has a guitar multifx and the drum machine came from that. The fuzz is from some blown out cassette sections that I edited down into loops along with the drum machine which wasn't effected by the same fx loop.

Damn, that fuzz is brilliant.  And around the 3.20 it sounds like it is all falling apart and struggling, love it.  Off to listen to the rest of your tracks now!

Dancing it! sounds like freedom

love how this evolves and there's something cool about they fuzzed to hell tape like watching a static tv channel trying to make out the picture.

Interesting textures introduced early on like it's percolating on the left while the right has this red hot feel to it.  Also liked how that right intro sound quietly looped on itself.  The tape fuzziness is pretty sweet too when the drum parts get introduced and chopped up.

Abstract always wins. And I think thats especially so round here.
Digging it.

yeah i truly love that fuzz pedal it's epic and weird too! it also has a micro looper built into it almost like an ehx freeze pedal. ah hell, I shall reveal the pedal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rfbs3NcXnYA somehow called Antistatic!

I fully agree! i'm a huge fan of abstract music and music that incorporates noise. i'm not really a Noise guy per se but i've dabbled. i prefer to stand on the line between noise and music. it confuses people! i feel mostly musical though... i'm just more of an improviser and arranger of sounds.

Dig that deep clicking opener with delays and high tones and that fuzz pedal is huge!  Haha.
Quite a journey here!

yeah this might be one of my weirdest tracks! I'm not sure what I was doing but everything flowed together without much thought put to it other than the sonic elements involved and of course editing loops and producing

The heavy fuzz sound matches the world view of the song and it's cool!
