Love Lost at Sea

Chiffer's Revenge.

After a long hiatus and focus on other things, I'm happy I finally got a song made and uploaded to weeklybeats!

This was recorded on the go w/ the Apple Wired Earpods mic. Some of the vocal track reverb is just actual pretty thick reverb from recording in the cellar of the AirBnB which I thought was cool. The noise floor is not great on the mic, but the signal is pretty good.

We were all staying in an AirBnB with about 8 other guys and gals in Portland before my former roommate's wedding, and it was a super fun wedding group. Most of the lyrics came together in between rounds of Killer Queen at Next Level Pinball. Easily top 5 best arcade games in existence.

Fixed my back pain issues over the last few months, keeping on it, and life is going swimmingly!

Probably will drop off wb again for about 4 weeks, then I'll be back again after that more consistently.

Oh shit, he's back!!!!! For a week tongue

Lol, pretty nice pop track too. Not just funny, but it's structured and paced really well too. Nice solo section! Glad to see ya back smile

So glad to hear from you and see you going strong!

Wouldn't mind being lost at sea if I got a shanty this groovy out of it. big_smile Awesome work!

This is great!!! Especially love the perc fills with some delay. I ought to tap that vibe a bit more. The dry slap bass hits hard. Synth on the outro also cool.

I think you implied the Dem Bow rhythm in a few places but I'd like to hear a section that does it explicitly with the kick and snare.

Subjective since everyone tells me NOT to keep doing this but I'd have also loved more production on the sea shanty bits. Something like more compression, harder panning on the BG vocals, tuned harmonies, chorus and/or flanger

Really dig it though.

He's back!!! Can't believe I slept on his encore track

Thanks, I looked up what the Dem Bow was and agree.

Although my influence was more like the “1 a and” pattern which is going on nearly the entire song but on different instruments. If combined with something hitting with emphasis on 2 as it does more in the chorus, is exactly the Dem Bow sound right?
