second week!  felt much harder and i am less happy with this song, but it is another song, within such short time.  thanks weeklybeats! smile

i started with a hummed melody this time (which became the thing at the start) and then tried to add to it.  i started on the op-1 again, which was rather nice for figuring out what i was humming and even attempting to find out which key it was in.  but then i wanted to experiment with different synths, so i got to know the op-z a lot better, actually using it for a song for the first time.

it's quite easy to screw up things on the op-z, some/a lot of which you can still hear in the song.  and i've still not tried any mastering.  maybe next week.

i think i'd like to go back to something more quiet/contemplative next week as well, let's see.  maybe some guitar looping.

Nice job!!! I like the slow buildup and the changing instruments! The chime/bell thing sounds super nice and particularly nostalgic to me.

the OP-Z can be very daunting but you got some very nice sounds out of it! i really dig the bass!

I love the quick arpy thing at the end

i dig that growling bass sound and the skittery rhythms

Very very good.
