Anyone interested in passing along your song tracks/stems a day or two before the deadline and letting me mix them?

Lately I've been busy writing/recording/mixing tracks that just don't lend themselves to the 1 week deadline, so I haven't been posting my own work.

HOWEVER, I know some people love songwriting and recording but hate having to mix, especially with the deadline, and I'm trying to improve my mixing skills, so this would be a good opportunity to help each other out. I could get the mixed version back to you (could also give it a quick master) in time for you to upload it. If you have any specific complaints and there's enough time I could do a revision. Or you could just scrap my version and upload your own mix - no harm done.

I could only commit to one (or possibly two) song mixes per week, depending on how much time was given to me. Anyone interested?

I typically start by coming up with a chord progression, either with a synth or a guitar, and then record that. Then I loop it ad nauseam until I come up with a vocal melody I like and some nonsense temporary lyrics that have a cool rhythm. It's worked for me, but writing chords first sometimes results in less than memorable (or very same-y) melodies, so this year I'm gonna try working on vocal melodies/lyrics first, and have the chords follow that.
