My first weeklybeats was 2014 and i played on my New Years liveset two tracks from that year. My ethos have been that i do this as long as i don't miss a week. But now i'm gonna continue even if i miss one week.

Will try my best! I’ve been messing with M8 for little over year now, and I feel like each time I turn it on, something cool is about to happen! With this weekly challenge I hope to make more finished music! Week 1 entry already uploaded! Woop woop!

I'm using 2024 as a way to experiment with a beta version of nanoloop android, had some cool features. I'm gonna take it easy and just try to make things when I have time

Too bad I can't really do this. I just realized the song mode doesn't work, so I wouldn't really be able to compose. Good luck everyone, I'll just be a spectator

Have not done this since 2016.  Will give it another shot this year and experiment.

Howdy ya'll, 2024 is my first rodeo. Managed to get out of a mastering sandpit and submit a track in time. Looking forward to hearing other's stuff!

Although I did not get as many tunes win as I wanted, I still got to hear a lot of talented folks as still have a lot of music to listen to this year. As I have told many songwriting friends as I encouraged them to get involved - this is the kindest group of critics I have ever met. Also the most helpful so I hope to see it back in 2026 and maybe that will be the year I accomplish 52 for 52.

if you look at my tracks it'll say 50 uploads i think but i actually made more tracks this year than weeks. i just forgot to hit submit on my upload twice this year lol. sigh. I worked on multiple albums on projects outside of weekly beats, so i definitely felt productive this year. i'd say as far as my weeklybeats uploads i feel good about 2/3 of them tops, but hey, you never know which ones you will go back to and like or dislike after a few weeks/months/etc have passed.

Schwerin I'm afraid

I only joined halfway through this year but with a different focus than previously. WB definitely worked as a motivator to get me writing more music, although I feel like the community aspect was different this year, at least for me. I'm probably going to be back in 26 because that's my guitar's 100th birth year and I might want to do a year worth of guitar tracks.

Congratulations to everyone and thanks for submitting songs and feedback. This is a great way to use the internet!!!

Is this going to continue into 2025? I had a blast doing it through 2024 and would love to continue.

No, it is every two years.

Ah, I didn't realize that. Thanks for clarifying!
