Weeklybeats is a 52 week long music project in which artists compose and publicly release 1 song a week for the entire year.
Starting January 1st 2024 GMT each participant will have one week to upload one finished composition. Any style of music or selection of instruments are welcomed and encouraged.

I was wondering if its okay legally to use a sample recorded by the CNN during the American attack on Iraq in a song. I'm only using the sound from the explotions that the cameras captured nothing else. This is a link to the video which I want to use the sound from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Qq3L6EY3zg
If not, does anyone know how to get permission to use it?
If all you're after is some 'splosion noises, check on freesound.org. I'm sure there's plenty there.
my guess is that if it's been on youtube since 2008 with impunity then you are probably ok
I'd love them to prove that you actually got that esprosion sound from that particular video to be honest.
