Sorry I haven't been able to make this a weekly thing anymore but I currently don't have the internet at my house and I also don't have the time I used to have anymore.

But now that we've made it to the Half way point I thought I would update those stats.

I have worked them out based on the RSS feed linked with my iTunes account. They aren't perfect as iTunes does some weird maths calculating track lengths. There's a mix of numbers from iTunes as well as some Excel stuff. Well anyway...

There have been 249 Individual Artists that have uploaded a song to WeeklyBeats.

So far there have been 2651 tracks uploaded to the site. The time to listen to all the music continuously would take 6 days, 10 hours, 50 minutes and 58 seconds.

Here is a breakdown of uploaded tracks on a week-by-week basis:

Week 1 - 134 tracks - 8 hours, 9 minutes and 12 seconds - Average Length - 3:39

Week 2 - 147 tracks - 8 hours, 40 minutes and 14 seconds - Average Length - 3:32

This works out to an average of 101.96 uploaded tracks a week.

There is an average time of 5 hours, 57 minutes and 21 seconds a week.

The average length of all tracks is 3 minutes 30 seconds.

The highest number of tracks in a week was in Week 4 with 150 uploads. 53.82% of all artists uploaded a track in this week.

The lowest number of tracks in a week was in Week 26 with 62 uploads. 24.90% of all artists uploaded a track in this week.

The largest week by length to date has been week 5 with 9 hours, 21 minutes and 46 seconds.

The shortest week by length to date has been week 26 with 3 hours, 06 minutes and 55 seconds.

The week with the longest average track length was in week 5 at 3 minutes and 56 seconds.

The week with the shortest average track length was in week 26 at 3 minutes and 01 seconds.

The number of artists have uploaded a track every week without fail since the start of Week 1 is now 38. This is 28.36% of the original 134 artists in week 1 and only 15.26% of the 249 artists overall. This is also 61.29% of the 62 artists that have submitted a track this week. This statistic has been checked manually by going through every artist who submitted a song in week 62 and counting all of their submissions on their profile page. There is a chance I missed a few in the process.

Great stats Xandox, thanks for taking the time. This is what I came up with using a ruby script I wrote to scrape the site. It'd make a pretty interesting graph if anyones got a few mins to spare...bear in mind it only shows what's on the site (eg. there's one missing survivor):
