Why not get an audio splitter and use headphones?

Anyway know of a way to get audio on a line out from the iphone *and* get sound from the speaker...? What about something like this - does it deactivate the speaker?

Don't suppose there's a way to do this from the headphones out? That would be best for me. Maybe if the speaker switch on the heaphones is software-controlled...
