Hi, my suggestion for this site would be for the music player (that's at the top of the web browser) to have a minutes-seconds time stamp at the top so I can leave reviews like, "I love the swell at 1:14. Great work there. When the part at 2:02 comes in though the bass is a bit too heavy. Great finish though, really dig the lead at 2:41."

Yeah I read that now, but I had no idea the torrent was a thing. I don't come into the forums unless I have a problem I need solving.
So it's no good for what is already out there, it's in the torrents already because I probably released it with a CC license. I never uploaded stuff here with the intention of it being redistributed and I am quite upset that it was but it was my damn fault too.

In any case I'd still like my tunes to not be downloaded from here. Listenable yes, but downloadable, no.

From what I've been told, it's part of the framework; but if you don't want your stuff to be in the torrents, make sure you submit it as copyrighted, I've made absolutely 100% sure copyrighted songs are not in the torrents.

It'll still be mentioned in the copyrights notice, but it won't actually be in there.

Can we possibly have the option not to allow downloads of tracks?
Weeklybeats is a personal challenge for me and although I like people listening to tunes as I make them, I have no interest in making what I upload this year available for download, since part of my yearly practice is to make stuff but not release a thing.

I already have a problem with all my past Weeklybeats submissions being in the torrents even though I erased the submissions from the website.

On the music page, change the filter to "music you've favourited" or "artists you've favourited".

Since you can use BBCode in the description for your songs, it'd be great if we could also preview said descriptions like we can with forum posts!

How about this: profile status that changes according to how active you've been. The idea is straight from forums, where more posts will earn you better ranking and titles like "expert critic", "obsessive listener" and so on. The more tracks you listen to (and ideally the more you comment on), the better your rank. That way you give people a goal that will encourage interaction. And it might help all those poor wretches with 0 comments - I know what it's like, I've been there! Guess it's quite a bit of coding, but it will probably be fun to do if you like that sort of thing..

Is there a forum search? Can't seem to find a collab thread or subforum

I mentioned this in IRC but I'll mention it here. Can we have either the Previous/Next Item buttons or the first line of the title offset slightly so the buttons stop covering the title. For example, if the first line of track title was moved down by the height of the buttons you'd be able to read all of the word TOWARDS instead of just the TO in my week 02 submission.

Would be nice to have a number of plays for each track so that I know whether people didn't comment or just didn't listen

one quick fix that I could think of: on the mp3 player, color code each week's submissions, since it goes straight from week 1 to week 2

If someone wants to upload a song and call it 'Crisp Crumpets' but have the ID3:title be 'Honky Foglights'... frankly I'd think they're a bit strange. ^_^

I don't mean that all the existing tags should be removed, just to set artist/title/album.
