Sweet 'n' Sexy

By filby on February 26, 2016 7:44 am

This was fun to punch out. Didn't take long. The only thing I was upset about was that I wasn't sure how to end it! Anyway, I hope you guys are digging the output so far...

Cheers brother! Yeah I'm noticing my mixes aren't sounding good on phones! Hmmmmm....

My only criticism is that I would have preferred a different introduction.  I actually do like the "surprise chord ending"  But great job, AS USUAL.

Sweet n Sexy is a good track title for this.  Kinda has a fun musical attitude, even though you have dramatic tonal elements.  Does that make sense?  If you converted this to MIDI it'd be playful, but your singing and guitar tone makes it darker.  So it's Sweet AND Sexy smile

I really like your tracks in terms of creativity and sound, but to be honest you really really should compress/limit less. Kimono is such a wonderful track, full of dynamics and comfortable to listen to. Other than that, keep up wink

Thanks a lot! Mastering is really not my strong point, so I will take that on board! I'm glad you are enjoying the songs!

Maybe I'm sounding quite old fashioned, but your harmonies remind me some early Alice In Chains work, circa the Jar OF Flies era.

Dope song and excellent production.

and by the way...

wow man I wish I could make my guitars sound like this... crisp as fuck and very "present", great stuff as usual
