Welp I hope to make a better track someday out of these awesome recordings my friends sent of an improvised poem I sent them. But meanwhile here is this!
Tried recording on my phone instead of laptop-- somewhat better but harder to sync smile
Vocal credits to: Jasmin, Rico, Malik
THANKS PALS heart

was that a saxophone?/melodica? with the piano!
this is a really neat arrangement!

Syncing 3 people reading a poem over music is a super cool idea.  Honestly the instrumentation and recording style fits the mood for this really well.

This is great, love the idea of synchronized readings. Seconding question from @emily -- what's that badass sound?

Eeeeek! you guys! it was the bass clarinet with a garage band pitch shifted effect and a couple Bb clarinet layers slapped on at last minute... but I am really embarrassed about how it came out... just sounds out of tune & out of time to me. I think it would have been better with just the piano, would make it easier to hear the words. Think I'll take out the clarinets for the bandcamp archive... really hoped to do better justice to the contributions of my friends. OH well, weekly beats keeping us honest & on our toes smile

Psssst, don't take it out, it lives up to the track title. heart

The piano in the background is very nice tho and the discord woodwind lets the freedom loose

Wonderfully maniacal

I noticed you explained about the clarinet above, and felt it was out of tune. The fact is that it does seem to create some dissonance with the piano, but I thought that was intentional, as it added some very cool tension to the track. I actually believe your track is even better with that different sound texture and the additional dimension and tension it brings, but that's just me. Super cool usage of vocals on the side, creating some sense of being overwhelmed. This is cool and original.

Excellent- kinda reminds me of Jerry Hunt, maybe mixed with the Church of Anthrax by Terry Riley and John Cale- really, really nice work

wow, this is really cool, the piano tone is so good, as is the blending of the voices.

well done!
