Dip Dip

Last couple weeks have been crazy with no monitor speakers or functional studio.  Made this beat with Ableton 9 on headphones at the public library and then on my kitchen table so mixing was tough. Originally looking to have as a beat for a lost love type of rap, but may just leave as is instrumental.  Lot's of layered audio from varied sources. What am I overlooking in my arrangements, mixes or sound choices? Would love to hear from you, thanks!

great track, faved it!

I like the tracks progression love the drum hit placements, and the saw synth thing close to the beginning BRAVO! wink

Sweet track. Went into my faves. thx for making this smile

My pleasure Cloudjumping person and an honor to make your faves list!

really cool textures and groove!

Nice heart

really nice arrangement and samples!

Very cool. Love how it evolves. Not f*ing bad for a kitchen table project! In terms of feedback, I would dial back the claps, and maybe have one percussion loop run longer? Although I actually love how the pieces form the whole if you know what I mean…

Thanks colorful grey, I appreciate the feedback. Was going to bring the claps down in the mix but thought no big deal and hit submit. All the best in the weeks to come.

:-) you're welcome! it is no big deal at all - just trying to offer feedback b/c it's hard to get that sometimes. Best to you too!!

I gotta say, I am big fan of the louder claps. But I think maybe explore the left right mix with them and maybe pan them a bit. But Yeah I love it, reminds me of Samurai Champloo

Excellent track, I love the way it flows and grows.

Also, making a track in a public library - I'm adding that to my list of WB to-dos smile

Nice one, flows great!

I like how it gets a little but lost and then finds it way home.
