Making stuff with the Organelle still. Also back at job this week. Fun first attempt at a purely battery powered configuration.

What is this? I honestly am not 100% sure I understand how the patch works. It seems to record some input, and transform it. So you can hear various clicks and clacks of the Organelle keys + a Yamaha baby grand piano (noodled-on by me). By the end of recording I kind of had an idea what various controls in the patch did, but not fully.

Some post-production in Ableton Live.

Named after the sunscreen on my desk.

Sounds great!  Love the glitchy ambient vibe of this.  I've yet to play with an Organelle but I've heard good things about them.

Thanks! It's a beastmode unit for sure. WB2020 is the perfect excuse for me to figure out how to use the damn thing. I ended up pulling the patch apart a few days after recording this to figure out wtf was happening, so I think next time I use that patch it'll be more controlled.

Put a nice 808 on that and this would be a nasty lofi hiphop beat

Thanks. That is very improbable but thanks for the compliment.

Ooh, lush. Is the chord from the piano or the Organelle? I love that something like the Organelle exists. What time to be alive.

The piano. But I learned today (thanks to Steve) that the sample that kind of holds it all together is from Jan Jelinek's Moire. The patch maker snuck that one in.

Ooh cheeky.

”Named after the sunscreen on my desk.” - now that a naming scheme to my liking smile
Also: forever intrigued by the organelle!

It beats poetic nonsense, right?
Everyone needs an organelle in their life.

Oooo i like the glitchy space created in your process! It really nice hearing space used well.

very nice, has a submarine vibe to it (that's what keeps coming to my head), I've always been curious about the Organelle

mmmmmmm lushhhh
