Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc (excerpt)

By fc on February 16, 2016 12:16 am

This is an excerpt from a much larger work that I realised Monday eve. Pretty sure this is the earliest I've ever got a piece in! Found objects and MaxMSP.

Here is the note about it --

Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc, dur: 72'27"
This long composition responds to the theme of the planetary by using planetary objects (ie. whatever stuff I have lying about the house) and custom-made software, and it goes on, and on, and on... which is a thinly vieled metaphor for the constant rotation of the planet around the sun.

It is being shown in full at the Love/City Festival, Feb 26. Info here

Like an orrery for the ears?

Got it -- a bargain, considering the current US-Australian exchange rate. Nice job on the cover image manipulation, too.
