melbourne 2 DEMO

Ugh missed last week. Just a lot of busy + now officially in long-covid. Urf. So yeah, that's a fun thing. Anyway, since 2022 is demanding going back to work - at least sometimes - I wanted to do a bit more of the field-recording turned beats. Unfortunately this is just a demo at this stage; long form working on electronic music is kind of outside my wheelhouse right now.

This is deluge into iPad with AUM and a bunch of things. Bit of post in Reaper.

I will develop this concept further I think, but need to re-learn my gear. It's been ages since I used either an iPad or the deluge. sad

it’s a good cacophony of engaging textures and it stays pretty interesting moving through various ideas and spaces smile
don’t sweat this demo stage, it’s a great seed for what you have in mind later(that’s apparent by all the unique and detailed timbres you’ve come up with, and the progression shows some focused navigation towards a well-defined vibe/setting, plus the ending is quite solid to my ears)… hard for me to put in words, but i guess i’m trying to say overall:
your music is important and this much work shows the future will hold a payoff… sorry you’re going through long-covid(that sucks, my best wishes for it to get better and stay on the up-and-up). keep the music making fun like this, at the pace that’s right for you, everything else could end up being just temporary obstacles that’ll only charge the music up to greater heights once they’re overcome… whenever i feel dragged down, just have to remember:
slow and steady wins the race smile
