I made a midi-controlled generative thing in Pd, with the intention of a series of piano pieces. Pretty interesting cross-modulation and MIDI source stuff.

What a time.

Super dramatic vibes. Very cool.

I've been slipping on checking out your pieces.  Works a treat this one.  Very musical phrasing and dynamics!  Love some of the spastic bursts.  Nice work.

Thanks! It's fun how 'performative' it is, hey?

Mate, I've been slipping on checking out anyone's pieces! It's terrible, but life? Glad you enjojy the piece. I think the fastest rate of MIDI output is 10ms or something like that. If I get it just right, it sounds like a voice via an interesting auditory illusion!

I hear ya.  I go for weeks not even replying to feedback.  Busy with lots of things so it does take a chunk of time to go through and listen to a heap of tracks.

I like the MIDI idea.  Pushing it's own audio into audio rates.  Have you seen the youtube vid where the guy (may be an Adam Neely video) pushes the midi tempos into crazy audio realms?  It's really cool.  From memory I think it was some Coltrane conceptual idea.  Worth checking out.

Just did a search and I was correct.  The Coltrane Fractal.

That was a very eerie auditory illusion!
