Named after Clara Schumann, because I was listening to her music going to sleep on Sunday night after submitting my last piece.

Similar process and system to last week, but with a further-developed Pd patch. This one adds an additional four layers of sound production, 2x granular engines, 2x additional 'tape' players. These four layers use material created by the other four layers. So the piece really needs to run for a bit to get into the most interesting territory.

Audio sources include 2x recordings of rain dropping on a tin lid in my front yard, and piano from Steve's track Dark Harvest (again), (check it out).

I am now considering adapting this patch in two additional ways. One, as a quadrophonic installation piece with video, and two, as an AI-driven adaptive system.

Patch is here if you want.

And why not both, eh?
