0257 - The Impossible Marimba

Well this was a lot of fun!
I wrote this originally for solo piano, in line with Week 14's "theme" of only using four notes. (I chose the tonerow of F C G D, which is a row of perfect fifths); the title comes from the set theory ordering of those four notes beginning on C, though the most compact form of the row I think would be 2570, but I'd have to check that and I really can't be bothered.
Anyway, there's a bit of material from last week's piece (Dorian's Dance), but the entire piece is based on those four notes, no other notes are used. Was a fun little challenge and I think the result was okay.
I started playing with non-piano sounds and ended up exporting my Sibelius score as a MIDI file and using Logic's Sculpture synth for the Marimba sound, then using volume automation and tempo/time signature automation to make it actually work.
Good times! Hope you guys enjoy.
