i was super hyped this past week to dance at 'dance yourself clean' here in san diego this past saturday. it's an indie electronic dance party featuring lots of remixes of 2000s-2010s indie dance hits. it's a blast. it's a vibe. if it comes to your city - go!
so when i sat down on saturday (earlier than usual!) to start this week's track, 2000s indie-ish dance music came out, using lots of samples, some of actual kits, kind of fat boy slim meets chemical brothers meets lcd soundsystem maybe? anyways...i actually...felt compelled...to drop...some vocals?! tried to play with some free acapella loops but that wasn't doing it, so just went with the flow based on the groove and that's what came out.
super fun all around!
