my friend let me borrow his 'the world of edena' by Moebius and i just binge read it yesterday. the story was first published in 1985 with various chapters added over the years. it's a big influence on the show 'scavenger's reign' and, as i learned, lots of sci fi/fantasy over the years (Moebius worked on Alien, Fifth Element, The Abyss). there's a certain french quality to the graphics and the dialogue/humor, but overall a really enjoyable read, especially after also finishing up scavenger's reign last week.

all to say, i think some of the weird stuff that had to quickly come out in 1-2 hours this week was definitely influenced by those vibes. a dance track for edena? for dreams and/or nightmares? for space travel? and the revolution against the...
