started with a bass line this week, then back into my usual drum pattern playing. got a decent melody down and then tried to vary it some along with changing up the composition and what comes in and out. took me a while to find something that i liked enough to consider it "ok this is a track now". practiced parsing things out into parts like 'act i' 'act ii' 'act iii' which helped me start to build structure and know how to complete beyond loops
