welp - about an hour before this was due, i went to open the project i had been working on all last week, only to have it consistently crash ableton, only when trying to open this one file. the project must be corrupted some how. so took the remaining 30 min to start a fresh track from scratch to still try to be creative and tell the story of this week. :shrugs: when the other track will be resuscitated. go with the flow.

Shit dude, that sucks!  I've had that recently and I suspect it has something to do with a corrupted plugin (like Valhalla freq echo has been crashing Logic for me so might be that one).  Pretty sweet track for half an hour though.  The glitching out voice is wild.

This definitely sounds like how my brain feels when I'm running up against a deadline!

oh no - that's so frustrating!  this piece turned out nice!

have you checked your ableton backups folder for different .als versions?  that might have your solution!

SORRY BUDDY

but cool beat and time stretch smile

(LOVED the scream at the end)

Sorry to hear session got corrupted, this loop works, though.

part of the learning process this week! i found this video explaining crashes and what to try and tried some options out. was able to disable the bad plug-in and re-open the file without crashing! so that's what i worked on for this week

thanks for giving it a listen regardless! it was an interesting challenge to practice mindfulness in a sense, return to the present after the bummer-shock of the crashing, and then just fire something up. played around with different samples and loops and instruments for maybe 10-15 min. then wanted to still try and create a narrative and tell a story over the course of the track. so fired up terminal to create the synth lyric, and then tried to end it exactly on the 'wat' scream, but ran out of time to perfect that timing. deadlines! helping get imperfect work out, instead of waiting to make things perfect that never see the light of day! (another reason i'm grateful for weeklybeats as a challenge and community to create and post!)
