Weeklybeats is a 52 week long music project in which artists compose and publicly release 1 song a week for the entire year.
Starting December 29th 2025 GMT each participant will have one week to upload one finished composition. Any style of music or selection of instruments are welcomed and encouraged.

This was mainly using an MXR 185 Drum Machine. The first and only drum machine MXR ever made. Got it from my uncle after he passed. I had promised him I'd make something cool with it. I plan on sampling this into a drum kit, too.

I like the slightly wonky beat, lighthearted fun.
That drum machine has a great crispy sound! Fun interplay with the percussion and that rubbery bassline. Agree with the others, this is wonky fun.
Thank you all. I'm gonna start tagging my stuff with "wonky beat" lol. You'll find that most of my stuff has one instrument offbeat or out of tune. I usually play live over something that keeps time.
