Scraps In the Yard

Hopefully you haven't gotten sick with whatever everyone else has. If you did, hopefully you didn't contract their complacent nature.

Do you feel that uncomfortable urge? The self-awareness you learned as a child has now led you to only watch your life through the lens. Commentating on everything you do.

I don't need to observe myself living. I need to step out of the film and become the author.

Does this make sense? Did you listen to the song yet? Did you stumble through my sickly lyrics, then come here to try and resolve the confusion?

Sorry, friend. Being confused is what makes me feel alive. Perplexed, passionate, carefully-placed confusion. Stay weird, stay out of your head.

Great guitar and bass tone and playing, great vocal recording. Mix is great. Great track.

Thank you! Tried my best to use all raw instruments this time through. Trying to mix it up. I appreciate you listening smile

Hey it’s you, was listening to your song and came here to say the vocals are great, then I realised who it was.

Really cool song, lined up the tone of the mix and melancholy of the subject matter to great effect. Great piece

That made my week, this comment. I'm pretty sure that's the first time anyone besides my mother recognized my voice. And I still think she was being nice after all the chorus concerts 🙃 Appreciate this. Gives me more fuel to just sing whatever comes to mind and share it. Though half the time I can't really understand myself.
