W08 - Spider

I tuned the Alpha Juno VST tests from last week into a more fleshed out song with the help of my favorite tracker. I really do miss the unique sound of that synth. It's simple but had some tricks you can't find anywhere else. I worked off of the spindly plucks conjured when tinkering. Composition process was very unfocused. The sound experiments didn't necessarily inform the structure of the song as well. It was a bit chaotic but tried to embrace it. Matched mental space.

Week felt short. Confronted some partership struggles. First time felt truly hurt and fell into bad petty reactions. shut down communications. Tired of initiation repair. Partner reached out (tension relief) and has been resolved but concerned council. Spent rest of the week more aligned but still far from capitalist functional. Thought about teaching again. Had a 30% week. Low. Looked at venues. discussed about a trip.

Discovered tx81z is still not retaining patches. retains for a few hours and even functions after power down. After a few hours it dies again. needs more investigation and possibley another solder repair job. Last week's patches lost.

Had to listen to this several times! Loved it!

Sorry to hear about your struggles this week. Life can be real unexpected and tough out of nowhere it seems. That's cool you thought about teaching again though. What did you teach?

I liked that you said this track matches your mental space of what you were going through. I can sort of feel this tension, like straining, but it's somber and is like trying to find a way out of a mess. Then at 1:45, finds some kind of peace, like acceptance or an alternative. Anyways, great stuff. Hope this upcoming week treats you better. heart

Adding this one as a favorite! I love how it ebbs and flows with sounds sprinkled all over.

I do like these crawly sounds.

that fast tempo makes it sound like twista should be on it ripping a sick verse. Nice work!

Life is pain as they say tongue It's not all the time luckily and these things come and go.

I used to help teach elementary school and spent a lot of time focused on kids who were behind in class and had hard home lives. It was the most fullfilling work I have done but also came with a lot of heartache.

Sometimes life spills over to the things we create un-intentionally. I like WB for that. Cool to think of the all the hidden influence of our lives seeping into what we make. I appreciate the kind thoughts. Glad to share my struggles had a happy resolution and the week is going well 👍

haha not what I would have imagined but now I am intrigued by the idea.

Really enjoy the arrangement of different synth sounds over the fast beat. Sorry for the rough week. I'm in between elementary teaching jobs myself, it is such draining and also fulfilling work as you said heart

I like the atmosphere of this song!  It is cool
