Another song sketch made and fleshed out this week. I am happier with the results than the last submission. Still feeling rusty. This week I mostly concentrated on editing the generative glitches for this one. The melodic stuff was just some ambient synth noodling and improvised first takes.

My goal is to work faster and get less hung up on structure. I don't mind being more experimental in that area. In previous years I spent a lot of time exploring genres I am kind of over. Playing with Jungle, DnB, and 90s/00s rave has been super challenging but rewarding. I probably will do a lot more this year until I feel like I have mastered it better.

Gear used:
M1 Macbook running Ableton and nanoloop (arrangement/mixing and synths)
Yamaha DX7 (ambient pads in later section)
Roland Juno-6 (simple high synth in the last section)
Dirtywave M8 Tracker (drums break slicing, early FM chords)
iPhone (sampling around my apartment for sound textures)

Rich drums contrasting with lush pads is my kind of jam. Great mood!

Bass is sick AF. Love the pads, too. Drums. All of it. Great work, good groove.
