Sound and Space

By ENC_ on March 21, 2014 10:38 am

This week I decided to just do some sonic exercises and call it a song. I wanted to work with mostly hardware and focus on treating all of the instruments with extra attention on space rather then structure. I actually will probably go back to this one as I enjoyed this challenge and add more parts. I think I got it sounding pretty large despite it having relatively few layers.

Toys used this week include:
Roland Juno-6 (pads and arps)
Concertmate MG-1 (big synth)
Arturia Minibrute (acid line)
Korg Volca Beats (bass drum and claps)
Kawai R-100 (toms and claps)
Tr-606 (high hats)
MXR Custom Audio Electronics MC-402 Overdrive (used on MG-1)
Boss DD-20 Giga Delay (used on MG-1 and Juno)

Everything else is just Ableton at work.
