full flower moon - the trees are waking up

By emily on May 10, 2020 7:30 pm

so on the full moon this week before i realized it was actually the FULL FLOWER MOON - a song sketch from 2017 was in my head & i had been humming it all day

when i write songs - rarely do i ever come back and rework things or spend more than a few hours on them - in a past life i painted & sculpted & often nothing ever got finished cause i reworked the pieces to death...

this week was an attempt to rework? add to? remix "full flower moon" - some new lyrics appeared in a sort of round style...

can you hear the flowers singing?  can you hear the tree's waking up & leafing out:

full flower moon
full flower moon
full flower moon

oh the changes you will bring/oh the trees are waking up
where will you be next spring?/the leaves are turning green

happy beltane

the tree's are waking up
the flowers are going to sleep

beltane

full flower moon

Loved this. So peaceful and pretty.

Really beautiful and ethereal. I actually really like the song title and its lyrics, really paints a picture smile

so lovely and pure.

It's really pretty and I like the springtime imagery.  It's a good reminder that there's still a world outside and life goes on and there are rays of hope even in dark times.

Very pretty piece. Had a nice calming effect. Agree, its nice to think about spring, and growth. I noticed the full flower moon, big and bright, maybe helped those flowers grow.

So pretty.

Super soothing atmosphere with your vocals in the reverb.  The guitar and strings support it so nicely too.  Well done!

i love your sound , i admit!

Beautiful. If you ever would like any collaborators to add wooden flutes or homemade ocarina-- I have a friend, and I'm going to recommend your WB to her, too.

Really pretty, the reverb on that strumming layer feel especially nice. Also those guitar slides (?) with the huge reverb are so choice, I adore that sound.

oh my word that would be amazing - i'm gonna look through some old pieces - i know i've got synth flute on some things that would be cool to hear with real instruments - i'll keep this in mind as i'm writing too!

thank you so much - i have a lot of nerve? pain in my fingers & wrists (poor things are overused tools) - i really struggle with the guitar but sometimes want to play so bad so i focus more on making sounds that give me feels since my brain can't seem to make my fingers & wrists do what i want... glad to hear that's translating some smile
