Well that was a beautiful two and a half minutes.

Very serene, love the vocal processing on this.

Impressive, touching and yearning

Unbelievably gorgeous, saddened as I am with the darkness we've found ourselves in (without sorting out any of the other darknesses we've had, sadly).

This is stunning. Topical, obviously. I love how sometimes I can't tell if it's voice or synth.

Like the sound of bliss

Had to listen to this 3 times. I could’ve listened to a 10min version. So epic and soothing all at once. It kinda reminded me how I felt listening to M83 for the first time. Really cool how you took the melody upward at the end. Very inspiring track. Well done!

Uplifting and reflective. Beautiful vocal swell on the high note at the end with just that touch of vibrato.

Celestial and heavenly.  Feels like the essence of comfort.  I also vote for the "extended mix" version.

the sound glimmers with an unfathomable depth of serenity and hope, thank you!

This is quite stunning!

my friend you & your thoughts/feelings are welcome - thank you for sharing them
i share your concern - i thought of you this week when i saw this - it made me feel a little hopeful that perhaps empathy/love will overcome fear/hate & in many ways it does every day

That's a huge compliment - thank you!  I remember hearing 'Midnight City' on the season finale of "The Mindy Project" and later it ear-wormed.  I remember trying for days to figure out what it was not remembering where I heard it or any of the lyrics.  It was so satisfying to finally hear 'Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming' all the way through.  One of my friends who is an audiophile had it on vinyl and played it through his amazing stereo system - it was a moment/happening.  I haven't listened to them in a while as I overplayed that album... but this is a nice reminder to dip back in & see what they've been up to - I haven't been keeping up.

These different layers, the seem to undulate, as if they is an additional pulse, slower than the melody, that makes the sound shimmer. The way the vocal layer soars at 2:04 is really beautiful, as if all the lines converged. It sounds pretty mystical, if that's the correct word.

The video is both deeply sad, but given the historical precedence of soldier families exposing the truth about the Chechen War, it's also very hopeful. Thank you for sending it my way.

You including the "is this reversible" link above is also one of the most relatable things, because I feel surprisingly similar to how it felt going through the last presidential election (and its predictable-yet-deeply-depressing aftermath). I don't think comments are the best medium, but I do have more to share about fascism in Russia and its influence on the current events.

Just listened to your track again, it's perfect.

Thank you - there were multiple layers - one track was just the other tracks going through the computer speakers with processing on them... it somehow rounded out the rest of it smile

thank you!
there is a link to email me on the wb profile page if you wanna process world events - that book i had not heard of but oh the content sounds ominously familiar...

Oh lovely! I could listen to this longer. Just floating, enveloped in it. The song, and your comment above too about maybe there is hope got me. I like to think, I believe, there is hope for love to prevail too.  I will look at the links in your description, thanks for sharing. I've been keeping news exposure to a minimum.

thank you - i wasn't sure how to make this track longer but after all the comments i tried to make week 10 a bit longer and an offering of a gentle sound-space...

i hit a wall of overload yesterday & realized i needed to stop taking in so much.
josh kindly brought me ice cream & we watched this weeks 'orange drink' video - that was very calming

Perfect for cycle mode. Sehr, sehr schön

Beautiful. Echo the person who said I could've listened to it for 10 minutes. Have you heard of Wavepaths? I'm a member of their community and hearing this made me think of their music - I think something like this could totally be featured.

Wow - thank you - what an intriguing project!  I booked-marked it.

My fav album of theirs is "Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts".  Not sure if you've checked that one out yet but def recommend it.  It's even more shoegazey, especially the tracks like "Run Into Flowers" & "Church".  I def overplayed that album smile

WHAT THE HECK - this is so epic!  I also could have listened to a 10min version.  downloading this too
