Bearing 155

Glad I started before the heat wave hit us. Initially wanted to make a fast paced track with 155bpm, but it somehow doesn't really feel that fast. Like looking at the beach while riding a motorboat. A soft breeze would be nice right now.

Oh I love that beginning arp. Track built so well around it - can totally see gunning a motorboat to this, Miami Vice style smile

Hmmm hmm

That arp, you know it's ready to GO!

The bubbly bass is very cool.

Oooh yais that main arp sets the pace right away!  Slick bass line and groove and really enjoyed that wavy leady synth too.  Excellent work!

Very fun tune and the arp really is great. I think this might be my favorite track of yours!

Really fun, love the synths and that clap midway through really works to push the energy. I could see this way faster if you really leaned into the breakbeat elements, which sorta operate at half time which might be what you were feeling? Its always a fun shuffle. This turned out great heart

Love the skittering hihats on top of the summery harmonies!

Glad you like it. I often start projects with a bassline or an arp, which I consider a creativity booster. When I start with drums, it usually leads a totally different and more predictable/boring road.

smile The bassline was the second main element (if you consider the chords supporting) in the track, just the right amount of deepness for me.

Thanks. The lead is allowed to be a tiny bit harsher and more playful, right? smile

I haven't been upwards of 165bpm so far. For this track I wanted more kinda relaxed drums/percussion, yes. Still the most breakbeat-ish stuff I made so far, it's growing on me. Thanks for your feedback.

That skittering effect might have been caused by putting them on triplets here and there. Thanks for listening.
