Revisit

This last week started real slow. Didn't want to start the piece that would inevitably finish such a strange, fulfilling, and stressful year. Looking back shows me how much has happened and how much I've managed to explore and develop.

In that vein, I decided to revisit the basis of my first track of this year, messing with samples from the original Doom to make various sounds and do something slow and heavy with some light bits sprinkled on top.

The cold and headache I've had all week (thankfully not covid) made it much more intense than in the pass but I like what I've ended up with.

Proud of us all this year.

I like that little chord change in the arp pattern.  Love the grime and grit of the Doom samples - those are so iconic and all those Wolfenstein 3D/Doom sounds are burned into my soul.  Great clean chip on top of the dirt - like sprinkles on the sundae.
