This week was a shitshow. I tried to write a track on the M8 as usual and, just, nothing was working no matter what I was tryna do.
Ended up pulling out the Dreadbox Typhon again on a whim and, at first, had the same thing of failing completely.
Then, I managed to get an acid-y riff going by accident and decided to fuck it all and lean into that.
Ended up having barely any time at that point so I had to cobble together a beat on the M8, run both into the Octatrack with a couple of scenes made up and play the whole thing live in 1 take. Used 3 presets on the Typhon which was all the same sound but with different sequences.
The sound is rough and the mix is shite but I think I'm really happy with the idea of this. May well try something like it again the next week, we shall see.
