Control In The Face Of All Things

By eleventhstage on July 18, 2026 10:01 pm

I don't fully know where this came from. Started as a simple bassline with Massive and after a rough week in general, and a lot of tweaking and adding and automating til I felt crazy, it became this.

Written in Ableton using Massive, FM8, and a chopped sample for the bass. Samples in Amigo for the drums, SEM and Prophet V from Arturia for the chords. And, lastly, stretched samples for the Pads throughout the track.

Enjoy.

Whoa, around 0:40 control definitely starts to slip as I am sliding into a completely different vibe. Loving the tight, clean house groove holding down against the messiness in the background. That huge pad sound really is foreboding.

Hell yea! This is super dope. Great work on the sample chopping - it works super well! I really love the pads crashing and morphing into chaotic, heavy hitting house grooves.
