Track Limits | Techno to play WipEout

Music to play WipEout to inspired by The Chemical Brothers. This is a gnarly track. I always loved the TCB's sound design. So I thought I'd give it a try this week. I started in the box with Ableton Live's stock synths. They're very good, and I like them a lot! But they were lacking something. The track started to come alive when I dusted off my 2600. And it made me go "and that's why we love analog". Something so wild and fierce with analog distortion and frequency modulation that software still isn't capable of doing.

I wish I had more time with this track. But I went down a couple of dead ends this week musically speaking. So I ran out of time. Anyway, let me know what you think!

Nailed that chemicals vibe - great work

That's some big block rockin' beats!
The guitar-like synth evolution is really cool, totally nailed the Chemical Brothers vibe. Sweet work!

Cool stuff this. Well done!

Love the acid lead and the drum programming! The track is energizing.

another banger for the wipeout album. this is the most upbeat and hype of them as far as I remember. would love to race to this.

love all the percussives btw

Love this one, full of energy and amazing mix! I especially enjoy the end it almost feels like an intro for a new track so good! heart

Thank you Coldshusi! Much appreciated you checking out an older track, too. Lots of (side-chain) compression in this track. That gives it that energetic, pumping feeling. Going in the kick is WAY too loud. But the compressor draws it back in and sucks everything around it. Fusing it all together and proving a ton of energy. Anyway, thanks for listening & commenting, much appreciated!
